Asia? Asia! (TTT and #indie30 Day 15)

Day 15 of #indie30: If you could pick any country in Asia to go to, which one would you pick and why?

First off, this topic hits close to home. PUN intended! (For the record, all puns on this blog are intended until told otherwise.) I think anyone who hasn't been to Taiwan yet should definitely put that on top of their list. Call me bias but I mean, exhibit A, exhibit B, oh and erm, exhibit C?!

Taipei

Second off, I would very much like to go to India because I love the food, I am enthralled by its culture, and its just at the top of my bucket list!  I mean, it sounds kinda stupid but I first got excited about India when I watched a bollywood movie in high school. I then went off to college, met a few Indian friends who taught me some traditional Indian dances, and well, the love is there.

Third off, enough about me, it's TRAVEL TALK TUESDAY!!!

Today's Topic: Asia!

1) What country do you want to visit the most in Asia?
I already touched base on this a little bit on my answer above but I really do want to visit India. The spices, the food, the history, Oh my!

2) Is there a country you'd rather not visit in Asia?
Well North Korea because it just doesn't seem pleasant at the moment...

3) Have you ever been to Asia? if so, which countries?
Yep! Besides Taiwan, I've been to Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, South Korea, Japan, and China! All very wonderful.

4) Is there any Asian influence where you are currently living?
I work literally 2 blocks away from Chinatown in NYC. I'm invited to all these Asian American gatherings and meetups on almost a daily basis so yes there are a lot of Asian influences in this town.

5) If you could be fluent in Chinese/Japanese/Korean/Hindi, which one would you choose?
I'd learn Japanese just because then I'd be able to watch anime and read manga without waiting for the translations and subtitles! Also, because my parents love traveling to Japan so being fluent would definitely be more useful.
